THE SURFACE 604 STORY
In 2013, in a workshop in Vancouver, British Columbia, we built our first electric bike. We called it The Element. We named the company after the only thing we knew for sure — our area code: 604.
We didn't set out to build the biggest eBike brand. We set out to build the best bikes. Real bikes — with clean lines, hidden wiring, and components that bike shops actually recognize. Tektro hydraulic brakes. Shimano and SRAM drivetrains. Maxxis tires. The kind of parts that earn trust by performing, not by looking flashy in a marketing photo.
Eleven years later, that philosophy hasn't changed. Every Surface 604 ships with a 960Wh battery — the biggest in its class. Every bike is UL 2849 certified. Every frame is designed in Vancouver by riders who understand that comfort comes from geometry, not gimmicks.
We've sold over 50,000 bikes. Our riders have logged more than 1,000,000 kilometers. The longest? Six years of daily commuting — summer and winter — on a single Boar Hunter. No repairs. Just brake pads.
We're not the loudest brand in the eBike industry. We're the one that's still here.
