Have not rode a bike in decades. This bike has been awesome! I have put 200 miles on it so far and no issues. So glad I picked this bike!!

Best Bike I've Owned

Bar none, this is the best bike I've owned. I was a little nervous paying so much for a bike--but after extensive review and research I decided on the Surface Shred 604. What a bike! It ships and pedals so smooth. It is the best ride I've ever had. I did buy the neck to be able to adjust my handle bars. I also bought the rear rack, but I haven't put it on yet. I was out riding and my pedal came off--turns out my pedal was cross threaded and caused the crank to strip...however, Shred sent me parts the next day so I can get back to riding immediately. I highly recommend the 20 amp battery. I can sometimes go a week without charging. Anyhow, you really cannot go wrong with this bike or the company. Mitchel will answer any question you might have, often within minutes. I love my bike and I love this company. You will not be disappointed. But this bike.

All I can say is that my new Shred has reinvigorated my desire for riding. I absolutely love it and it brings me so much joy. The bike is solid and well made, I'm definitely making some adjustments to suit my needs, but this bike is a fantastic machine. If you decide to purchase the Shred, you won't be dissapointed! Thank you Mitchell and Phil for the great customer service!

SHREDing in South Florida - Everglades Perimeter trip

First off, thank you Mitchell and Phil at SHRED support hotline and email, both very helpful, all questions answered and extra hints added in. So, out of the box, this machine is very well setup, a real pleasure to look at the craftsmanship and style. The only thing I had to tweak was the disc brake pads, centering to the rotors, an easy job after watching a Youtube tutorial. Before the 1st ride, I pulled a Suntour NCX suspension seat post, Cloud 9 commuter seat and wide palm handlebar grips from my 2 year old 1st Ebike and installed to the SHRED. The 1st ride revealed the cushioning effect of the 2.8" mid-fat tires, a very nice experience over the 2.1" tires that I was used to. The Bafang motor has plenty of pep and runs smooth via the cadence sensor. The 1st full battery (20AH) charge lasted 70 miles with 4% still on the meter, granted, the last 10 miles showed the slower speed effect from a lower battery state. The large LCD screen is easy on less than perfect vision too. For sizing, I am 5'11", I find this M\L frame to be a perfect fit, very balanced and comfortable. I experienced a dropped chain on the 2d ride out so I swapped the stock 38T chain ring for A Deckas 38T narrow-wide tooth ring, so far no drops. Pics are from a 23 mile ride around a gravel perimeter road surrounding part of the everglades just west of Markam park. Thanks SHRED team, kudos for sending a great bike my way!
